Kristin Scott Thomas en "Easy Virtue"

There's a lot to be expected from an adaptation of a Noel Coward play. It needs to be witty, smart and well acted for starters. Lucky for us, "Easy Virtue" (available on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday) has these qualities in spades.
The Whittakers are your typical aristocratic family. Well, to an extent. Son John's (Ben Barnes) most recent newsy letter has thrown the family into a tailspin. Well, most of them. And "most of them," of course, means the women.
His father (Colin Firth) is intrigued, but John's mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) and sisters (Katherine Parkinson and Kimberley Nixon) are repulsed. After all, he hardly knows her. And, besides, they haven't even met her. Oh. She's American. Strike three.
However, John's race car-driving bride, Larita (Jessica Biel), considers herself down but not out. She'll make her in-laws like her. Or die trying.
